Starting Point Run/Walk Training Program designed for beginners
Program Length: 8 weeks Start date: September 27, 2010 Program Fee: $80.00
Targeted Race Distance: 5K (3.1 miles)
Program Description: This program is a Co-Ed
program designed for beginner level participants interested in training
with a group in a non-intimidating environment.
Group Workout Times: Monday - 6:00pm at Front Running Sports Wednesday- 6:00pm at Front Running Sports or another location chosen by the coach
Prerequisite: There is no pre-requisite running
ability required. However we do recommend that you get clearance from
your physician to participate.
Training Venues: All training will take place in
the Lake Mary area. We will utilize the beautiful Seminole trails with
starting locations including but not limited to Front Running Sports,
Heathrow Square (Winn Dixie Shopping Plaza), and the Shoppes at
Oakmonte (Panera Bread).
All participants that sign up for the program will receive a
training package, store discounts for the duration of the training
session and group runs led by an experienced coach as well as weekly
email communication from your program director.
Registration Download a copy of the registration form and return to Front Running Sports.
REFUND POLICY: Training Fees are
non-refundable. Refunds will only be considered for medical reasons and
must be submitted with a Physician's letter. No refunds granted after
the half-way point in the program.

FREE Summer Triathlon Training
FRS is offering FREE Summer Co-ed Triathlon Training for Beginners and Novice level participants. Below are additional details.
This Program is currently filled to capacity.
Coach: Brian NeSmith USAT Level 1 Certified Coach MS Physical Education
Workouts: Tuesday and Saturday morning group workouts. Training plans will be provided for other days.
Where will workouts take place? Pool swims will be early Tuesday morning 6:00am swims at the Oviedo Aquatic Center Saturday workouts will vary in location depending on the workout. Most workouts will be in Seminole County. Open water swims will be scheduled accordingly as race dates get closer.
Fees: The only fees you will pay is your pool fees, no coaching fees. This will be $28 per person to cover all of your pool times.
Targeted Races: Trek Womens Triathlon - Sunday, September 5 Clermont Sprint Triathlon - Saturday, September 11
Registration: Even though coaching is free for this program, all participants must register so we have counts for the workouts and pool times. Your pool fee will be due upon registration.
Perks: All group participants will enjoy a 10% discount on purchases from Front Running Sports. We may come up with a few more perks along the way just for you :)
This group will be designed around beginner level and novice triathletes. For those wanting additional training we will be happy to discuss those options or refer you to qualified coaches in the area.
Fall 2010 Marathon and Half Marathon Training - Now Open!
FRS Marathon and Half Marathon Training Summer/Fall 2010 Session Dates: June 21, 2010 - January 8, 2011
Targeted races: Chicago through Disney.
This is a full and half marathon training program that meets 3 days a week. Runners should have an established base of 12-15 miles per week and be able to maintain a minimum of a 13min/mile pace.
All participants will receive training from certified coaches, structured workouts, email communication from program director, course support (water and sports drink on training course), All participants will receive a 10% store discount as program members.
Fees: Program fee is $130.00 for new members, and $99 for returning members. Fees are not pro-rated for late entry into the program.
Registration: Download Registration Form and walk or mail into Front Running Sports
Tuesdays - 6:00am Morning run from Front Running Sports store front.
Thursdays - 6:00pm Track or Tempo workouts. Location TBD based on workouts. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to do a light warm up before the workout.
Saturday Morning Long Run - 6:00am Varying locations in Lake Mary and Sanford, depending on the run. Run start times will get earlier as runs get longer.
Certain weekends that races fall on workout days will be option of on your own or participating in the race.
For those not able to make the runs during the week, you will receive email updates about workouts so that you can do them on your own.
Prerequisite: Early Fall marathons you need to have a good 10 mile base in place. Late Fall/Early Winter marathons you need to have at good 5 mile base. Half Marathons you need to have a good 4 mile base.
It is recommended that all participants consult their physician before entering this program.
Refund policy: All program fees are non-refundable. Refunds will only be considered for medical reasons and request must be accompanied by a physician's letter. Once the training program exceeds the half-way point, no refunds are issued.
