FREE Walking Program
Front Running Sports is pleased to offer it's first program designed strictly for walkers. This program is designed to get you off the couch and get active through walking. We want you to come out and enjoy getting to know others while being healthy.
Program Cost: FREE
When will program meet: Once a week on Thursdays at 6:00 pm.
Where: Some days will be at Front Running Sports, other days will meet at the local track. This will be determined weekly by email communication.
How Long is the program: This is an 8 week program. February 25 - April 15.
How often will we meet as a group: Once a week on Thursday evening. A walking plan for other days will be provided to you.
No pre-requisite required to join this group. Just a desire to get up and get active.
All registrations must be submitted no later than February 22 to participate.

5K/10K Speed Training - Spring 2010
FRS 5K/10K Speed Training Program
Program Duration: 10 Weeks
Start Date: February 9, 2010
This program is designed for those that wish to improve on your 5k/10K times. The training will focus on track and tempo run workouts. This program will be led by a certified USA Track and Field coach.
All participants will receive structured workouts, water or sports drink provided at workouts, and 10% discount at Front Running sports during the program.
Workouts:
Tuesday Tempo Run - 6:00pm
Meet at Front Running Sports for tempo runs on the trail. Meeting venues may vary as training progresses.
Thursday Track Workout - 6:00pm
Meet at Lake Mary High School Track. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early to do a short warm up.

Pre-requisite:
This program is designed for those that already have a good running base and are looking to increase speed.
Refund policy:
All program fees are non-refundable.
Refunds will only be considered for medical reasons and request must be
accompanied by a physician's letter. Once the training program exceeds
the half-way point, no refunds are issued.

Starting Point Run/Walk training for beginners - Spring 2010
Starting Point
Run/Walk Training Program designed for beginners
Program Length: 10 weeks
Start date: February 8, 2010
Program Fee: $75.00
Targeted Race:
This program will target the 6th Annual Run for the Athletes 5K for the group to participate in April.
Program Description:
This program is a Co-Ed
program designed for beginner level participants interested in training
with a group in a non-intimidating environment.
Group Workout Times:
Tuesday - 6:00pm at Front Running Sports
Thursday - 6:00pm at Lake Mary HS Track
Prerequisite: There is no pre-requisite running
ability required. However we do recommend that you get clearance from
your physician to participate.
Training Venues:
All training will take place in
the Lake Mary area. We will utilize the beautiful Seminole trails with
starting locations including but not limited to Front Running Sports,
Heathrow Square (Winn Dixie Shopping Plaza), and the Shoppes at
Oakmonte (Panera Bread). There will also be track workouts at a local school track.
All participants that sign up for the program will receive a
training package, store discounts for the duration of the training
session and group runs led by an experienced coach as well as weekly
email communication from your program director.

Danskin Triathlon Training 2010 - Register Early to get a slot!

Race Date: Sunday, May 9, 2010

Program Start Date: February 22, 2010
Program Fee: $250 for new members / $200 for returning training group members.
This
program is designed for women who are beginner level or have never done a triathlon. Program targets the all women's Danskin Triathlon and will be led by a certified USAT Level 1 coach.
All
participants will receive structured workouts, water or sports drink
provided at workouts, and 10% discount at Front Running Sports during
the program. Discount applies to all shoes and apparel.
Workouts:Monday Evening 6:00pm
Saturday Morning 7:00am
Locations to be determined based on workout.
Workouts will include all phases of the race. Swim, Bike, and Run. All participants will be taught transitions, swim techniques, and running off the bike. Swim training sessions will also include lake open water swims to prepare you for race day.
